This is my humidifier that I got from the gift catalog.
カタログギフトでもらった加湿器ですが、
I had left the water sitting in thetank for a few days.
２，３日、タンクに水が入れたままになっていました。
As I threw the water out into the kitchen sink, I found something white around the hole where the water had been.
流しに水を捨てようとしたら、なにやら白い物が 水が溜まっているくぼみにあるのです。 カルキ？塩化カルシウム？
I had read about this stuff on a book, it said vinegar is useful to remove it.
そういえば、本で読んだのですが、これを取り除くのにお酢がよいとのこと・・・。
So, I tried to pour vinegar and water in the hole and let it be through the night.
早速ためすべく、酢と水をくぼみに注ぎ、一晩放置しておきました。
The day next the night, there‘s still a little white stuff left like this photo・・・・.
次の日、まだ少し白い物が・・・・。
そこで、もう少し濃い酢で試そうと思い、酢１：水４ぐらいで注ぎ、
かつ電源を入れて沸騰させ、分解を活性化させてみました・・・。 I thought I shoud try pouring thicker vinegar like vinegar 1 : water 4, and in addition, I turned on the switch to boil the water. I thought this would work better.
放置すること３時間あまり・・・。 About three hours later,
おそるべし、酢パワー！！！ the white stuff has gone!! What a power of vinegar!
２日ががかりの努力が報われ、スッキリ気分です。 My two-day-efforts has paid off!
